Tuesday Teaser - Letters to a War Zone by Lucy Felthouse

Lucy Felthouse is often my connection to the outside world. She shares my books and then introduces me to new books and authors to distract me from my writing.  LOL But that's something we all need. So now I'm going to distract my readers with on of Lucy's books they need to pick up. Please check out this new m/m military erotic romance.

Blurb:
When lonely insurance broker, Bailey, gets himself a new hobby, he ends up exchanging letters with a war zone. But he’s not expecting what happens next…

Bailey Hodgkiss is lonely and dissatisfied with his boring life as an insurance broker. In an attempt to insert some variety, he signs up to a website to write to serving soldiers. He’s put in touch with Corporal Nick Rock, and over the course of a couple of letters, the two of them strike up a friendship. They begin to divulge their secrets, including their preference for men.

Nick encourages Bailey to add more interests to his life. As a result, Bailey picks up his forgotten hobby, photography, and quickly decides to team it up with his other preferred interest, travel.
Booking a holiday to Rome is his biggest gesture towards a more exciting existence, and he eagerly looks forward to the trip. That is, until Nick says he’s coming home on leave, and it looks as though their respective trips will prevent them from meeting in person. Is there enough of a spark between them to push them to meet, or will their relationship remain on paper only?

*****

Excerpt:
After clicking all the available links on the website to find out more about it, Bailey decided to go ahead and sign up. He’d never know what it was really like unless he gave it a go.

He’d read about the site in an article somewhere, about how it linked people with serving soldiers, pilots, marines and sailors in order to write to them. It had been proven that receiving mail—even from someone they didn’t know—improved military morale. It sounded like a damn good use of time to Bailey, and it would be interesting, too.

He began typing his details into the online form. Of course, the chances were that he’d be paired up with a man, given the ratio of males to females in the forces. It didn’t matter, though. He could still exchange letters with a guy, become friends. It seemed like such an old-school way to communicate with someone, given how technology had come on over the years, but at least it was different. Perhaps it would give him something in his life to look forward to, something other than getting up, showering, going to work, coming home, eating, watching television and going to bed. The watching television—and even the eating—were occasionally replaced by nights out with friends or seeing family. Weekends were spent cleaning, washing clothes, gardening and odd jobs. Dull stuff, in other words.

He had an utterly mundane life, and Bailey knew it. It wasn’t even as if his job was exciting. Insurance broking was hardly thrilling, game-changing, or going to save the world. He didn’t expect having a pen pal to change his entire life, but it would certainly break the monotony. Hopefully.

He went through the various steps to fill in his details and create a profile, then continued right through to the information on actually writing and sending the letters. It looked straightforward enough.

His mind made up, Bailey immediately went in search of a pen, some nice paper and an envelope. Armed with a print out of exactly what to do when the letter was finished, he settled down at the kitchen table. Instantly, his mind went blank. What the fuck was he meant to say? He didn’t know any soldiers or other military personnel, didn’t know anything about their lives, other than there was a great deal more to it than shooting people and being shot at. His own existence was so fucking boring that he didn’t want to write about it. Unless there were any insomniacs in Afghanistan—telling them about his day would solve that particular condition right away.

After chewing on his biro until it broke, covering his lips and chin with ink, Bailey replaced it, resolving to try harder. He’d tell his pen pal the bare essentials about himself, then ask lots of questions about them and their work. That was bound to rustle up some conversation.

That decided, he began to write, absentmindedly swiping at his inky skin with a tissue. He’d have to scrub it off when he was done with the note. His wrist and hand had begun to ache before he was halfway down the page. He rolled his eyes. He sat on his arse at a desk all day, using a computer. As a result, even writing something short by hand was hard work! There was no way he was going to divulge that particular piece of information to someone that was willing to lay down their life to protect their country.

He just about managed to fill a single side of the A5-sized paper. And that was only because he’d formed large letters and spaced his words and lines out plenty. But he tried not to worry—at least he’d finished it, his first letter to a war zone.

He read through it carefully, relieved to find no mistakes. He’d forgotten how much more difficult—and messy—errors were on the written page. Computers let you edit and rewrite to your heart’s content. No correction fluid or crossings-out necessary.

Finally, he addressed the envelope. It felt like the longest address ever. The area and country was bad enough, even without including the soldier’s name and BFPO address. But it was done—Bailey Hodgkiss had penned a missive to Corporal Nick Rock, currently stationed at Camp Bastion, Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

Now he’d just have to post it and wait for a reply. The website had said his missive would take between one and three weeks to reach Corporal Rock. Then he had to allow for time for him to read it and send a reply. It could be around six weeks before he heard anything. If he heard anything at all.

Tuesday Teaser from Alissa Baxter and The Blog Affair

My good friend, Alissa Baxter had an excellent book released back in October.  I recommend to check this book out. I guarantee you'll get caught up with the creatively way it's written and the story will take you away.

BLURB:
Twenty-something, white, South African Emma Bradshaw has a pattern of falling for unsuitable men and starts a blog about these so-called “serial datists”. Her search for new beginnings takes her to Cape Town, where she gets a job working for sexy author, Nick Reynolds. Romance with her boss is a no-no, but slowly, Nick works his way around her defenses. Trust him, or not, especially with her awful track record with men?

When an anonymous male reader of the blog challenges her on her ideas about the male species, Emma realises she must confront her past and find her true self before she can move forward...and love can blossom again in her future.

EXCERPT FROM THE BLOG AFFAIR

Damn him. Damn him. Damn him. Like a bad apple, he just had to pop up in her new home. She’d left Durban to escape him, and here he was, back again, tormenting her as ever. Awful enough that memories of him were with her all the time, without him turning up in the flesh. And what flesh it was….

“You had a good time in Italy?” she inquired.

Phil nodded.

“Great. Well, I have things to do. Bye.”

“Running away, Em?”

Emma, who had starting walking toward the door, stopped in her tracks and turned around. “I’ve moved on, Phil.”

“You mean you’ve moved away. You haven’t moved on.”

“What makes you so sure?”

Phil gazed into her eyes before looking down at her mouth, and Emma swallowed hard. He always made her insides twist into knots, and the fact she couldn’t bear to be in the same room with him for even five minutes clearly showed she hadn’t moved on. She had to put him behind her, though, and stop allowing him to upset her equilibrium to the degree he did.

But as she studied his once-loved face, she let out a tiny sigh. How did you just move on and forget someone? Especially when you’d once believed that someone was the love of your life?

She stood immobile for a long moment. Then, without a word, she turned around again and walked out of the room.

Tuesday Teaser - Sex, Lies, and Vampires by Katie MacAlister

After falling in love with Katie MacAlister’s writing style and characters I HAD to have more. So… the next time I took Mom to the book store, I found another. This book was originally published in 2005.

Sex, Lies, And Vampires

I love the quirky heroine in this story, the 3rd book in The Dark Ones series. (Yep… still haven’t picked up the 1st yet.) This book was so fun to read, I couldn’t put it down. Perfect with a glass of red wine, a comfy blanket and cozy chair on a cold winter day.

Nell is a historian...and a charmer. When she inadvertently becomes involved with the supernatural world, Nell meets a Dark One (vampire) known as The Betrayer. Despite the scary title, The Betrayer (actually named Adrian) is incredibly sexy, and the chemistry between them becomes overwhelming. There is a lot of sexual tension and loads of romance. He tries to show his big bad self that all should fear, and she responds by calling him a fluffy pet name like sugarpants. Throw in some re-animated mummies, demons, kidnappings, and misunderstandings and you have the basic plotline of Sex, Lies and Vampires.

Tuesday Teaser - Sex and the Single Vampire by Katie MacAlister

Every other Tuesday I take my mom to her favorite shop… Maxie’s Used Books. Mom fills her basket quicker than you’d think an 86 year old woman could do and leaves little time for me to explore the vast amount of books. However, I did sneak one into Mom’s pile.

Sex and the Single Vampire

This is the second book in Katie MacAlister’s THE DARK ONES series. (I haven’t picked up the 1st book, A Girl’s Guide to Vampires, yet.)

Keeping in mind I enjoy dark romantic tales of vamps, shifters and angels by the likes of Sherrilyn Kenyon, Sandra Hill, J.R.Ward, and Lynsay Sands; but I was blown over with the humor of MacAlister’s heroine.  OMG!  I have never laughed so hard while reading a vamp romance!  My kids thought I’d lost my marbles the way I cackled over the book.  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

Book Description

It's not easy finding love when you're nine hundred years old . . . And undead

Romance novelist Christian Dante is sexy and arrogant, a true alpha male. He's also a Dark One (aka vampire), doomed to spend eternity cruising the singles scene in search of the one woman who can redeem his soul. But finally he's found the love that Fate has chosen for him. Too bad she sees dead people and likes to play with demons.

Allie Telford is a Summoner—and she needs to rustle up a ghost pretty darn quick or her paranormal career will be over. Luckily, she's just stumbled upon a naked and unquestionably hot specter in a haunted hotel . . . who looks disturbingly like the tall, dark, handsome fantasy man who's been coming to Allie in her dreams. But it seems he's no phantom after all—he's a real flesh-and-blood- fed immortal who's determined to make Allie his lover for forever . . . or longer.

Which may not be a totally bad thing . . .

Tuesday Teaser - Club Wicked 3.5: My Wicked Trainers by Ann Mayburn

At a secret location outside of Washington DC there is a private club where the rich and powerful go to indulge in their most wicked fetishes and desires. Established in 1903, Wicked has hosted everyone from presidents to gangsters, from innocent small town girls to famous Hollywood starlets indulging in the painful pleasures of the dungeons.

Ann Mayburn is an excellent erotic story teller and certainly has the ability to seduce readers one book at a time. I love her Club Wicked Series and had the opportunity to read a little short from the collection.

The first thing that pulled my attention is characters are attending university and living in Leicester, England… a place I know very well and incredibly fond of. Second, I have a soft spot for hunky rugby players so Mayburn had me drooling on the screen of my poor Kindle. The characters in this story have a possibility to develop a greater relationship. Full of sexual tension, this story left me wanting more.

BLURB: Best mates Liam and Rory have an accidental drunken sexual encounter, spurred on by the usually straight Rory's powerful attraction to his equally straight friend. Afterwards, Liam freaks out, and Rory's worried he'll lose not only his roommate, but also his best friend. But when Rory brings home his sexy and eager submissive, Susie, and proposes a menage, the men just may have found a way to repair the rift, but only if Liam can overcome his conservative upbringing and trust his natural instinct to Dominate.

Tuesday Teaser - Body Hopping by Iris Astres

Iris Astres writes smoking hot erotic sci-fi.   I made the mistake of reading Body Hopping while at the doctor’s office.  This little story is packed with WOWZA!  I started fanning myself the lady next to me mumbled something about hot flashes and ‘the change’. If only she knew the real reason for my hot flash. I highly recommend this read…but I suggest you read it in a private setting.

The story takes place at The Body House, an alien brothel inhabited by male prostitutes from the planet Backus. Backusians love their work and women love Backusians.  Check out Iris Astres book, The Body House.

BLURB: Becky’s on a journey to a better life after a bad divorce: A little yoga, a few days at a spa, the usual routine. Before the party’s over, her friends suggest she try some sexual ecstasy at The Body House. The handsome aliens from Backus who work there have been known to make a girl feel pretty good.

Heartache and betrayal have left Becky skeptical about the benefits of sex, but if the best way to get over a man is to get under one, then why not get under a few? She orders up three men in just as many hours, thinking of an evening much like bar hopping, with bodies in the place of bars.

In theory it sounds like a lot of fun. In practice it will be much better than imagined.

If you enjoy this appetizing short,
I suggest you pick up the full course.

Tuesday Teaser - A Sweet & Sassy Match

My good friend Stevie MacFarlane is working on a new contemporary romance series, Sugar Babies, Inc.  Book 1, A Sweet and Sassy Match is out and she sent us a little teaser.

BLURB
Sam Barringer worked his way up from the slums of Philadelphia to a corner office with a magnificent view of Manhattan.   A powerhouse in his field, Sam made more money than he could spend.  Still single, he watched quietly as his associates marriages crumpled one after another.  It seemed there was always another beautiful gold-digger ready to take whatever the first or third wife left up for grabs.  Many of his male clients were ridiculously wealthy and so very alone, unable to trust their own judgment when it came to women, but there were good women out there.  The problem was they worked in coffee shops and school lunch rooms, as bus drivers and mechanics, hardly likely to meet a man who could and would provide them with security, love and guidance.
As his bank account grew, so did his dissatisfaction.  The men surrounding him were unhappy and frustrated, looking for something they were never going to find, despite their wealth.  It was then that Sugar Babies was born.   Quickly Sam discovered that there were a lot more men like him than he'd previously believed;  Dominant men, who firmly believed that disciplining their woman was sometimes necessary to insure a healthy, peaceful and long term relationship.  He also discovered an entire group of clients that wanted something more, a woman-child to call them Daddy.
While scouting out a new location for a branch office, Sam meets Johanna Maxwell.  Jo is beautiful, hard-working and everyone’s best friend.   If you're moving and need an extra hand, Jo’s your girl; house-sitting, baby-sitting, pet-sitting?  No problem.  Need a loan, a last minute date, call Jo?  In fact, the only person Jo didn't take care of in her large circle of friends, family and co-workers, was Jo.
Sam falls hard, but can he convince Jo that his business is legitimate and more to the point can he convince her that when he pulls her over his knee, it’s out of love?

Tuesday Teaser - LIttle White Lies by Stevie MacFarlane

Little White Lies blurb -

Maggie O'Malley Cassidy has a problem. Well, actually several problems. She's a widow, raising three children and trying to make ends meet. Well, if the ends didn’t exactly meet, at least they got close enough to wave to each other.  She has the unfortunate habit of skirting the truth now and then, not really a problem unless she got caught, but still a very tiny character flaw that she planned to work on just as soon as she got a free minute. But by far, her biggest problem was Nicholas Kord who has just found out that her oldest son, Jason, is also his only son. I mean really, who would have thought he'd show up after fifteen years and go all paternal on a child he hadn't even known existed. What were the odds of that coming back to bite her in the ass?

Nicholas Kord has his life on-track; he is an accomplished attorney, and considered his trip home to be Best Man at his brother's wedding a long-overdue opportunity to reconnect with family and have a good time as well. He is still single and in all honesty, the man oozes sex appeal.

Nick was crazy about Maggie, always had been and always would be. When he saw his son for the very first time, he knew exactly who Jason belonged to and what Maggie had done. He was furious at first, but came to realize that a good portion of the blame fell on him. If he hadn't been so stubborn years ago, things might have turned out differently, but Nick is also a realist. The past cannot be relived; it's the present and future that matter. He still loves Maggie and he means to have her, one way or another, and he intends to cure her of her bad habits along the way. As far as he's concerned, Maggie had gotten her way for far too long, and it hadn't served her well. Her children, one of whom belongs to him, need a father and whether she knows it or not, she needs a husband who will provide guidance and love; he can be all that and more. Nick has no problem applying a firm hand or taking a wooden spoon to Maggie's adorable butt when she misbehaves, which seems to be quite frequently. Who would have thought one knock on her door would change everything forever?

Tueday Teaser from Mean Girl, Lucy Felthouse

Lucy Felthouse is here today to tease us with her new erotic romance novella, Mean Girls.

Adele Blackthorne is a big girl, a curvy chick. She knows it, and she’s been picked on all her life because of it. But she’s gotten to the stage where she doesn’t care. She may be Rubenesque, but she’s healthy, too. Much healthier than the mean girls at the leisure center that point and stare and say spiteful things about her. Adele rises above it all, and simply enjoys her secretive glances at the center’s hunky lifeguard, Oliver.

As the bullying of Adele becomes worse, Oliver finds it increasingly difficult not to intervene. He doesn’t want to get into trouble with work, but equally he can’t stand to see Adele treated in such a horrible way. Especially since he doesn’t agree that she’s fat and unattractive. He thinks she’s a seriously sexy woman, and would like to get to know her better. Much better.

Mean Girls will be released by Ellora’s Cave on the 20th September, and is available for pre-order from various retailers. More here.

Tuesday Teaser: Get Laid By Annabeth Leong

Blurb:

Renovators have invaded the home of Jason and Eliza Wu. The two haven’t seen a clean surface in months and, even worse, haven’t had a moment to themselves. With stress in their work lives added to stress at home, the couple desperately needs to have some fun. Jason and Eliza embark on a bold plan to make love and get out of the house—at the same time. Through a series of hot adventures and wild mishaps in the car, at Eliza’s mother’s house, on the top floor of the library and everywhere in between, Jason and Eliza find that not only can they survive renovations, they might even be sorry when they’re over.

A Romantica® contemporary erotic romance from Ellora’s Cave

Excerpt:

By scooting the heaviest things out of the way with the side of her thigh, Eliza could open the refrigerator door just enough to slide her arm in and identify a wine cooler by shape. She snaked it out of the refrigerator, but her hand slipped on the sweating glass bottle just before she got it clear. It crashed to the floor and shattered, soaking the lower half of her stockings and the big bags of flour and rice from the pantry with pink, sugary alcohol. Shards of glass surrounded her and Eliza swallowed, thinking of her bare feet.

Her husband responded before she could. “Don’t move,” Jason said. He was barefoot himself, but that didn’t stop him from getting in close enough to sweep her up into his arms. The man might sit behind a desk all day at work, but he put in his time at the gym. His taut muscles flexed around Eliza as he lifted her out of the mess and glass and tucked her against his chest.

Jason carried Eliza to the other side of the room and set her on the table. “Are you all right? Did you cut yourself?” He lifted one sticky, stocking-covered foot in his hand and inspected it for injuries.

“I didn’t get hurt.” Eliza caught his other hand and brought it to her lips. “Thanks, Jason. Really.”

He kissed the side of her face in response, and she wished he’d gone for her mouth instead. She reached to pull him in for a better kiss, but before she could he crossed back to the refrigerator and folded his arms across his chest. Eliza and Jason both sighed.

“I think we’re going to have to throw all this food away because of the glass,” Jason said.

“I’m sorry.” She got off the table and tapped one foot, trying to remember where they’d moved the broom.

“You stay there. I’ll take care of this.”

“If you say so.”

“I do.”

Eliza smiled, a little of the tension easing. “I want to do something really fun at home for our anniversary. It’s five years, and maybe our last chance before we have to grow up for real and behave. We should jump on the beds and have sex on the kitchen table.”

“About that…”

“What?”

“If you haven’t opened the document I shared with you, then you didn’t see the note I made about the latest delay.”

Eliza’s voice darkened. “What?”

“When they checked out the master bathroom, they found a rotten beam. It needs to be fixed, but Bob said it means the job won’t be done until mid-August.”

“But that’s only two weeks before our anniversary! That’s more than a month behind schedule.”

Jason shrugged. He wrapped his hand in a dishtowel and began throwing items from the pantry into a big black trash bag. “I don’t like it any more than you. They have to finish the job eventually, one way or another.”

“He always finds something else! Did you ask him if he’s sure about the schedule this time?”

Jason stood abruptly and stepped away from the mess in front of the refrigerator. “I don’t want you criticizing me for how I talked to Bob. Why did we think renovations were a good idea?”

“Oh, Jason.” Eliza rushed to his side and tried to put her arms around him, but he shook her off.

Her husband rubbed one hand over his face. “I don’t want us to fight again. I want to have a nice time with you tonight. Do you know why I was upset when you got home? I left the office a little early and I was going to straighten up around here and make you dinner. If we could open the damn refrigerator, you’d see I picked up avocados and a bunch of other stuff you like. I got home and found the kitchen like this, and I knew I couldn’t get it sorted out in time to surprise you.”

Jason grunted and tossed a few more things into the trash bag. Eliza hovered nearby, wishing she could wave their problems away and start the fun they both wanted. She found herself staring at his firm ass, trying to remember the last time she’d really grabbed it. They’d always had a good relationship, a hot relationship. She’d been shocked to see how the stress of renovations had reduced them to sniping at each other.

“I miss you, Jason.”

He stopped moving. “What do you mean?”

“I miss your body. When was the last time we really had some time to ourselves?”

“You mean other than time we spend complaining to each other about the renovations from hell?”

“I love that you were going to make me dinner. Really, I do. It’s just there’s something I might need more than dinner. I think we both need it.”

A slow grin spread over Jason’s face. “I may have had an ulterior motive when I decided to make you dinner.”

“I hope you did.” Eliza reached out to him with one hand. “Can’t we clean it up in the morning? We have to stop letting these renovations ruin our lives.”

Jason took her in his arms before she finished her sentence.

Tuesday Teaser - Changing Her Mind by Stevie MacFarlane

Please welcome Stevie MacFarlane with a teaser from her first novel and the beginning of the O'Malley stories we've fallen in love with. We want more of this Irish family!
~ Blurb
Mason is in love, and being a traditional kind of guy he expects traditional things—like rings, rice, and church bells. Rebecca is in love too, although she prefers to think of it as being ‘in lust’. Oh, she wants him, badly in fact, but if it’s all the same to him she’ll just skip the church and rice bit and go straight to the blazing hot sex.
Unfortunately for her, and for her sweet bottom, it isn’t all the same to him. Mason is a reasonable man most of the time, or at least that’s what he tells himself, but he is determined to change Rebecca’s mind about marriage by almost any means necessary. As his frustration level skyrockets he begins to realize he might be a little more traditional and a little less reasonable than he thought. He’s willing to give her something blazing hot alright, but until they tie the knot it won’t be blazing hot love she’ll get, it will be a blazing hot bottom.

Tasty Tuesday with a Teaser - Cream Puffs from Eva Lefoy

Desserts and hot chefs go together!

When I wrote a hot dessert chef, I had to pair him with a woman who liked desserts. After all, a vegetarian and a butcher just don’t go together  :)  So I came up with a woman called Violet Cunningham. She not only likes desserts, she has a favorite one: raspberry cream puffs.

Now, cream puffs aren’t that hard to make, as I later discovered after the writing group took me under their wing and into the kitchen.  Since I’m not really an ardent baker – I make really good brownies, but don’t do the fancy stuff – I thought there must be some trick to them. There’s not. Especially if you’ve got a good hand mixer!

Here’s the tried-and-true ancient Betty Crocker recipe we made:

1 C water

1/2 C butter

1 C flour

4 Eggs

Filling – whipped cream, etc.

Confectioner’s sugar

Heat oven to 400. Heat water and butter to a boil. Stir in flour. Stir vigorously over low heat about 1 minute or until mixture forms a ball. * Note: I took the pan off the heat and used a mixer to do this. Much easier! * Remove from heat. Beat in eggs all at once, continue beating until smooth. *Note: again, I found the hand mixer indispensable! * Drop dough by scan 1/4 cup fulls 3″ apart on ungreased backing sheet. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until puffed and golden.  Cool away from draft.

Pull out any filaments of soft dough. Carefully fill with whipped cream. Replace tops; dust with confectioners’ sugar. Refrigerate.

Be careful – they don’t last long!

There’s another recipe in the back of my book, Sweet Cravings, out now from Decadent Publishing and below is an excerpt that should get your whipped cream whipping.

Excerpt:

I ducked into the kitchen before the bored-looking maître d’ could accost me and found myself heating up at the sight of a stainless steel table. Sous-chefs in white hats and dishwashers with racks of clean plates bustled back and forth down the aisle in front of me, but I didn’t spot the pastry chef in their midst. I almost gave up and left before noticing the light was on in the “secret kitchen.” I gulped.

My knees went weak, and I stood frozen to the spot. Inside me, determination, embarrassment, and heady desire warred. I wanted so bad to turn and walk out, find another caterer, and be done with it. But I couldn’t. There’d be questions. Chuck would want to know why he wasn’t getting the best French-trained chef in town, and I’d be up shit creek without a paddle. What could I say? Sorry, I didn’t mean to have hot, sweaty sex with the guy—if I’d known you’d need him the next week, I would have waited?

Remembering the hot sex had my traitorous feet moving forward, toward the door instead of away. Wrong direction, I told them. Shut up and go with it, my pussy ordered. I bit my lip, swallowed my pride, and knocked.

The door opened and the man himself appeared wearing a chef’s coat splattered with pretty light pink frosting and powdered sugar. One whiff of him convinced me he’d taste positively delicious. My stomach let out a loud rumble, and I put my hand over it to try and squelch the embarrassing sound.

His mouth fell open when he caught sight of me. In fact, he seemed kind of stunned for a second. My fight-or-flight response kicked in. I swiveled on my heel, but he grabbed my elbow and tugged me inside his secret domain once more. “Mademoiselle,” he murmured low and rich as fudge pudding. “How nice to see you again. Please, come in.”

I glanced at his face from under my lashes and found him smiling at me, looking as though he might actually be glad to see me again. Part of me stiffened, vibrating with nervous energy. The rest of me tingled in saucy anticipation. The promise of man and dessert made one once more for my licking pleasure had me close to giggling with happiness as the door snicked shut. As he twirled me in his arms and drew me close, the all-important notes clutched in my hand could have jumped a shuttle for Mars for all I cared.

His mouth surged over mine, his lips warm, wet, and insistent, as though he needed to make up for lost time. I heartily seconded the sentiment, and the kiss turned from buttery hot and soft to spicy and decadent with a touch of dare.

I opened my mouth to let his tongue in, and we both moaned at the intrusion, his hips bucking against mine as he pressed my butt into the table. I clutched his shoulders, pulling him closer as my initial embarrassment waned. He tasted of sweet pastry, and I savored the flavor as I relaxed in his arms. God, the hungers the man awoke in me with just one kiss!

I’d dressed “professionally” for the occasion—stockings, skirt, silk work blouse, light blazer, and heels—so it wasn’t a surprise to feel the heat of his hand brush along the smooth stocking covering my thigh. But I let out a yelp as his strong fingers ripped through the material and pushed the stocking aside, delving under the crotch of my panties, headed directly toward my wetness.

“Spread for me,” he growled.

My sex clenched but my tremulous legs parted, obeying his command to give him easy access. Long, thick fingers slid through my dampness until they were coated with my slick cream before plunging inside my wet core. I moaned into his kiss at the glorious pressure and he chuckled. His other arm held me close as his mouth continued to plunder mine, setting up a tantalizing rhythm with his tongue and his fingers that my body could not ignore. My head rolled back and my hips rocked into his thrusts. I emitted soft, mewling cries every time his cock ground against my clit. It felt so good I thought I’d died and gone to pink frosting heaven. “Oh, God. Please. Just a little more….”

He quickly upped his game, nibbling down the column of my neck and then moving his fingers up to my clit, circling it with my own slippery juices until I was on the brink of breaking apart and screaming my head off. Then he abruptly pulled his hand away. “Dinner.”

“W-what?” Every brain cell in my mind struggled to comprehend the concept of language. It seemed so foreign, so far away, so unnecessary. My hot button throbbed with frustration. I’d been so close….

“Dinner. Have dinner with me. I promise you won’t be disappointed.”

I panted, trying to form words. No matter how I rocked my hips, he remained just out of reach from where I needed him most. My fingers dug into his back, silently demanding satisfaction. But he gave me none.

“Say yes,” he commanded. “Or this ends here. Now.”

His demand seemed simple enough and since agreeing would get me everything I so badly wanted I said, “Yes.”
