Monday Mojo - Sex at Work

15% of adults have had sexual intercourse at work.

Oh sure, hot office sex on the desk or in the utility closet.

If you worked in a brewery or winery... yes, yes, oh yes!

A chocolate factory?  Totally orgasmic.

But...

can you picture having sex if you work at

 the county landfill?

the car wash?

subway newspaper stand?

a kilt shop?

Wait a minute...

can you turn around and show us how to wrap the kilt correctly?

HAPPY MONDAY!!!!!!!

Monday Mojo - Sexual Daydreaming

At any given time, 25% of people are daydreaming about sex.

Daydreaming is one of the most common things we do, and also one of the most private – in a survey carried out at the University of Minnesota, 80 per cent of people said they would rather admit to an embarrassing experience than reveal their daydreams.

The most common sexual daydreams women admit to:
1. Sex with another man - usually a celebrity
2. Ménage à trois
3. Domination
4. Sex with a woman
5. Last but not least: Sex with your guy

Daydreaming is actually healthy and can be good for your sex life. You see... daydreaming exercises imagination which is very important for a healthy mind. Besides, a little imagination in the bedroom is a good thing.

Monday Mojo - Death by Orgasm

normal resting heart rate for adults ranges from 60 to 100 beats a minute. For both men and women, the heart rate averages 140 beats per minute at the point of orgasm.

Nelson Rockefeller died while having sex with his mistress. Even the mighty Attila the Hun fell victim to a heart attack that caused his early demise … on his wedding night no less.

Volunteers having sex in a laboratory setting have a significant increase in  pulse, blood pressure and respiratory rates. In other words, the heart works harder, pretty much along the same level as with a moderate work out.

What’s really interesting is when similar studies are conducted among married couples in their own bedrooms; heart rates don’t increase during sex! In fact, on average, married couples had  a LOWER heart rate than recorded during normal daily activities.

The risk of death during sex with your spouse is small, especially if you exercise and/or have sex regularly.
I think I went into the wrong line of work.
I should have become one of those people who research sex.

Tuesday Teaser - Sex, Lies, and Vampires by Katie MacAlister

After falling in love with Katie MacAlister’s writing style and characters I HAD to have more. So… the next time I took Mom to the book store, I found another. This book was originally published in 2005.

Sex, Lies, And Vampires

I love the quirky heroine in this story, the 3rd book in The Dark Ones series. (Yep… still haven’t picked up the 1st yet.) This book was so fun to read, I couldn’t put it down. Perfect with a glass of red wine, a comfy blanket and cozy chair on a cold winter day.

Nell is a historian...and a charmer. When she inadvertently becomes involved with the supernatural world, Nell meets a Dark One (vampire) known as The Betrayer. Despite the scary title, The Betrayer (actually named Adrian) is incredibly sexy, and the chemistry between them becomes overwhelming. There is a lot of sexual tension and loads of romance. He tries to show his big bad self that all should fear, and she responds by calling him a fluffy pet name like sugarpants. Throw in some re-animated mummies, demons, kidnappings, and misunderstandings and you have the basic plotline of Sex, Lies and Vampires.

Thursday 13 - SEX AND STATISTICS

1. The typical person spends about 600 hours having sex between the ages of 20 and 70.

2. Americans spend twice as much money on pornography than they do on cookies. (Unless you eat Oreos.)

3. A survey in Cosmopolitan magazine said that foreplay usually last 14 to 17 minutes for the average married couple, and that the man typically reaches orgasm after six minutes of copulation. (Imagine the lab testing room for this study.)

4. According to the Earthsave Foundation, the sperm count of the average American male is down 30 percent from 30 years ago.

5. According to Runner's World magazine, two out of three runners say that they fantasize about sex while running. On the other hand, one out of 11 fantasizes about running while having sex.

6. On average, it takes two tablespoons of blood to get a man's penis erect. (Who measures?)

7. According to one theory, people who chew a lot of ice have a high sex drive.

8. According to Archives of General Medicine, coffee drinkers have sex more frequently and enjoy it more than non-coffee drinkers.

9. Master's and Johnson's stages of the sexual response cycle are excitement, plateau, orgasm, and resolution. (Real romantic terms we got here.)

10. The average time that a man lasts after penetration is two minutes. (The men in our romance novels are above average.)

11. According to the Hite Report, candles are the artificial device used more frequently by women when masturbating. (Ok... that is just weird.)

12. According to Kinsey Report (1953), 15 percent of the female population was capable of multiple orgasms. (There is help for that.)

13. According to Susan Lark, MD, director of the PMS Self-Help Center in Los Altos, Calif., having sex with orgasm relieves menstrual cramps because the vigorous muscle action moves blood and other fluids away from congested organs. (I can vouch for this one. It really works!!!)

Monday Mojo

There’s a direct link
between how often a man has sex and his life expectancy.
Keep the romance & stay healthy.

I'd like to have a chance to interview the world's oldest man.
Unfortunately he passed away on Sept. 15, 2013.

Salustiano Sanchez-Blazquez, a 112-year-old self-taught musician, coal miner and gin rummy aficionado from western New York, was 112. He was born in Spain, moved to Cuba then migrated to America in 1920. His wife, Pearl, passed away in 1988.

Monday Mojo - Strange Sex Fact

Feeling  blue or a little down in the dumps?

Here's news for you!

Semen is a natural antidepressant

Semen might just be your scientifically proven pick-me-up. Research psychologist Jesse Bering published an article in Scientific American, which stated that semen is packed full of natural mood-enhancers. Indeed, semen only contains around one to five per cent sperm, while the rest is made up of over 50 components including prolactin, oxytocin, serotonin and estrone, which are natural antidepressants.

Monday Mojo - Blowsy

Things that make you go Hmmm....

BLOWSY
Fascinating Fact: The term “blow job” comes from
the Victorian times

In Victorian times, a slang term for a prostitute was “blowsy”. At the same time, “blow” was slang for ejaculation. Consequently, by the 1930s, the act of fellatio came to be known as a blow job. It was also used to describe jet planes in World War Two. In Ancient Greece, the common slang for a blow job was “playing the flute”.

Monday Mojo - skin care

Things that make you go Hmmm....

SKIN CARE
Fascinating Fact: Sperm is good for the skin

The proteins in sperm have a tightening effect on the skin. When sperm is left to dry, the evaporation of the water in it leaves behind protein which can help to reduce wrinkles. While this may be an excellent anti-aging treatment, the obvious downside is that you have to walk around with sperm on your face.

I think I'll continue using Olay.

Monday Mojo - condoms

Things that make you go Hmmm....

CONDOMS
Fascinating Fact: Condoms were originally made of animal intestines or linen

Condoms were invented in 3000 B.C. in Egypt. Ancient drawings clearly depict men wearing condoms–sometimes made of material that may have been animal hide. It’s not clear however, whether condoms were used for sex or ceremonial dress.

In Asia before the fifteenth century, some use of glans condoms (devices covering only the head of the penis) is recorded. In China, glans condoms may have been made of oiled silk paper, or of lamb intestines. In Japan, they were made of tortoise shell or animal horn (ouch).

In the 16th century, condoms were often made with linen sheaths soaked in a chemical solution and allowed to dry before use. The cloths were sized to cover the glans of the penis, and were held on with a ribbon.

Replica 18thC style condom and wrapper
Efficiency was partly due to how carefully they were used, and partly a matter of hoping your condom maker had used good quality materials and worked carefully. Evidence suggests many condoms were reused a number of times, so careful washing and drying in between would have been necessary.
