Monday Mojo - Golden Love

Every Tuesday I visit my 86 year old mother
who lives in a retirement community with many other people in their golden years.

Almost a third of all women over 80 years of age
still have sex with their spouse or boyfriend.

I really didn't need to know that information.
But...
they are cute!

Thursday Thirteen - 13 Tips for a Romantic Bath

I LOVE baths!
I bet you can't guess what inspired today's post.  LOL

Taking a bath together in winter is as sexy as skinny-dipping.
It's also a great idea for a "cheap date night".
  1. Rose Petals
One of the most common symbols for romance, the rose is not only a beautiful addition to your bath water and/or bath area it is delightfully fragrant as well.
  2. Bubble Bath
Bubble bath comes in so many varieties it can be hard to choose the right one. If you know your partner has a special favorite, use that one. If not, try something a little creative like bubble bath in a champagne bottle.
  3. Mood Music
Initiate a romantic environment with a little calm and relaxing mood music. Many stores offer nature or mood themed music. Pick out a CD that will help you create the exact mood you desire.
  4. Candlelight
Restore that healthy glow with a liberal sprinkling of candlelight. Tea lights are easy to use, make little mess and are easy to throw away once cooled. Don't place candles where you may splash water on them.
  5. Bath Loofah or Accessories
Why not give each other the ultimate bath and spa experience with a little skin pampering?
Go shopping together and pick out a few fun bath products in a scent you both love
  6.  Skin Care Take care of each others' skin and try new exfoliation products or other skin improving products. Pay special attention to each other's elbows, knees, hands and feet. Make your own product with sugar and lick it off.
7.                    7.  Hair Care  The scalp is an erogenous zone. Give each other a complete hair washing, including combing out their hair during the conditioning process.
8.    8.  Champagne
Celebrate your time together with a romantic toast. Use this couple time to renew promises or vows with each other. Or, just revel in actually having couple time.
  1. Try a fun, sensual bath game. I'm not going into detail here. *wink, wink*
  2. Warm, Fluffy Towels
Put your towels in the dryer for a few minutes for a warm and toasty after-bath treat.
Take turns drying each other off for a more intimate experience.
  3. Mood Inviting Bath Soak
Bath soaks are usually a blend of ingredients you add to your bath water to create a desired effect, such as a sore muscle soak, stress-easing soak or relaxation soak. Most bath and body and drug stores carry bath soak products.
  4. Privacy
A romantic moment is easily ruined with unwanted disruptions. Arrange your water play encounter at a time when you can be together alone. A great way to do this and create the perfect memorable night is staying at hotel with a spa or Jacuzzi tub in your room.
  1. Shower Power When you don't have time to take a nice bubble bath with your partner, opt for a nice, hot, candlelit shower with incense and music. This is wonderful for mornings because it refreshes the mind for the day.

Tuesday Teaser - Sex and the Single Vampire by Katie MacAlister

Every other Tuesday I take my mom to her favorite shop… Maxie’s Used Books. Mom fills her basket quicker than you’d think an 86 year old woman could do and leaves little time for me to explore the vast amount of books. However, I did sneak one into Mom’s pile.

Sex and the Single Vampire

This is the second book in Katie MacAlister’s THE DARK ONES series. (I haven’t picked up the 1st book, A Girl’s Guide to Vampires, yet.)

Keeping in mind I enjoy dark romantic tales of vamps, shifters and angels by the likes of Sherrilyn Kenyon, Sandra Hill, J.R.Ward, and Lynsay Sands; but I was blown over with the humor of MacAlister’s heroine.  OMG!  I have never laughed so hard while reading a vamp romance!  My kids thought I’d lost my marbles the way I cackled over the book.  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

Book Description

It's not easy finding love when you're nine hundred years old . . . And undead

Romance novelist Christian Dante is sexy and arrogant, a true alpha male. He's also a Dark One (aka vampire), doomed to spend eternity cruising the singles scene in search of the one woman who can redeem his soul. But finally he's found the love that Fate has chosen for him. Too bad she sees dead people and likes to play with demons.

Allie Telford is a Summoner—and she needs to rustle up a ghost pretty darn quick or her paranormal career will be over. Luckily, she's just stumbled upon a naked and unquestionably hot specter in a haunted hotel . . . who looks disturbingly like the tall, dark, handsome fantasy man who's been coming to Allie in her dreams. But it seems he's no phantom after all—he's a real flesh-and-blood- fed immortal who's determined to make Allie his lover for forever . . . or longer.

Which may not be a totally bad thing . . .

Sensual Saturday

I'd like to thank John Quinlan for participating in a week long interview series.
He's such a great guy!
AND....
Congrats to  Debbie Qua,
who won an autographed photo of this hunky cover model.

During the interview John mentioned candles being an element for a romantic evening. I know with the latest storms many people across the country have suffered power outages and used several candles without romantic intentions. Time to switch gears people!

The holidays are over and hopefully the storms too. Time to make a nice dinner or even a snack and light some candles. Curl up on the couch to watch a movie and light a nicely scented candle nearby.  The fragrance, the warm light and dancing shadows will add a little sensuality to  mundane evening.

Even with kids around, your honey and you can capture he moment. At our house it's common on Saturday night for hubby to build a fire in the fireplace and I'll light some candles. We'll pop popcorn, make some snacks and pour some wine. The kids will make smores in the fire and we'll all relax to enjoy a movie.

Have a Sensual Saturday!
