A Few Moments of Massage
A massage is wonderful, but most of us don't engage in it due to lack of time.
Flyboy Jr's girlfriend gave him a gift card for a massage at her parents' gym, Iron Athletics. He loved the hour-long experience and plans to make time for one every time he comes home from school. He said it's very relaxing and plans to schedule a massage every time he's home from flight school.
With a wink in my direction, Flyboy Sr. said he's rather get a massage from me.
(Oooo... I love that man!)
An erotic massage is wonderful for a couple, it relaxes them from daily stress, strengthens their bond, and can be very, very sensual. But again, many will complain of lack of time. Plan ahead for a five minute pre-bedtime massage. This little bit of time is adequate. Just start touching! Relieve a little stress, enjoy the power of touch. Who knows, it might led to something more.

Keep in mind, massages are like orgasms... there are really no bad ones. Like anything else, the more you practice, the better you will become. Your lover would certainly enjoy a five minutes of touching tenderness from you!
Dr. Evelyn demonstrates some extremely helpful tips to not only improve your couples massage but how to benefit someone who experiences back pain, sciatica, pinched nerves and more. CLICK HERE

A Kiss Is Not Just A Kiss
No matter how long you've been together as a couple, don't stop kissing.
The "surprise kiss" gets a fun reaction. |
Kissing:
- is the simplest route to seduction
- shows how much you still really care about your partner
- is one of the easiest ways to show your honey you don't take them for granted
- lets your boo know you still crave the magic you felt when your lips touched for the first time
"No, I don't think I will kiss you, although you need kissing, badly. That's what's wrong with you! You should be kissed and often, and by someone who knows how." -Rhett Butler, Gone With the Wind

Volunteer From Home
Was your New Year's Resolution to volunteer more? Maybe give back to your community? Get involved?
Due to Covid, so many opportunities have been put on hold. You can still volunteer at a church food dispensary or local food bank, they always can use extra hands. You could pack boxes to go to the armed service men and women around the world.
Due to my health issues, I'm still living in my own little bubble. I found a few places where you can do good without leaving your home.
Change.org - petition for a better planet
DoSomething.org - browse causes and get involved with ones that matter the most to you
VounteerMatch.org - find a volunteer group you can really connect with, maybe within your own community.
LearnToBe.org - sign up to be a tutor
CatchAFire.org - connects professionals with opportunities to do pro bono work
DonorsChoose.org - donate supplies and electronics to public school teachers for their classrooms
Feel free to call your local schools to see what they may need. Several have their teachers plugged into Amazon with wish lists. You pick out the items on their lists, pay for them and they are shipped directly to the teacher!
Check with your local animal shelters. Many of them will have Amazon Wish Lists for public to purchase much needed items from.
When it comes to volunteering and getting involved at any level to improve your community or the world, encourage your honey to get involved with you. Nothing makes the heart feel so full as when you do something good together.
Best Holiday Book Ever!
I love Pippa Grant and have enjoyed reading every one of her books. She's the queen of rom-com. As I wait for her next one to come out, I've meandered through all the others. The holiday story, I saved and read during Christmas. I had so much fun, I think I'll tuck it away and read it every Christmas.
"Of all my regrets in life, my biggest at the moment was sitting on Santa’s lap at Macy’s when I was three and asking for a little brother. Because the fucker delivered, and I want a refund. Twenty-five years isn’t too late to return him, is it?"
What a way to start a book!

He’s been a very good boy this year...
Eight years ago, I let the woman I love walk away over canned cranberry sauce. And it was the worst mistake of my life.
So when she shows up to play Santa for my daughter’s preschool Christmas party, you’re damn right I’m going to try to get her back.
Except Kaitlyn Holly’s lost all of her Christmas cheer. Which means it’s my job to help her get it back. No matter what it takes.
Exes and Ho Ho Hos is a short, sexy, standalone Christmas romance told in alternating first person, complete with reindeer, a Santa brawl, and a little mishap on the most iconic skating rink in New York City. It stands alone and has a merrily ever after.

Fireside Interview With K. T. Egan
It's a lazy afternoon and a the backyard bonfire is blazing. Hot dogs and fixings for smores are ready to go. New Adult Romance author, KT Egan stopped by for a cup of tea and a fireside chat about her new book, All You Hold On To, the first book in the Anderson Creek series.
I know you have penned several short stories and poems but I'm so excited for your new book, KT! I understand this is your first published book and the beginning of a four book series. That's awesome! All You Hold On To is a beautifully written book with a sweet romance, second chance love and great characters who will pull at your heartstrings. Where did you get the idea for this story?
KT: I was sitting in the
writing center of my alma matter, trying to make sense of a project I’d started
over the summer when it dawned on me that there are so many questions left
unanswered at the end of a relationship. And one of the biggest ones, to me
anyway, was what would you do if the person you broke up with was the only you
had? What if that person was your power of attorney – would you change it or
would you leave it the same because you knew that person, you trusted that
person at one point with your entire life.
KT: I was inspired by a song - and then the wording just fell into place.
I'm always inspired by the music I listen to. I get storyline ideas and character names. Speaking of names, how did you create your characters?
KT: I’ve had a lot of eclectic jobs in my life, and I’ve worked with a lot of zany people, and more often than not I find myself drawing character name inspiration from the people who tend to come in and out of my life on a day-to-day basis.
Instead of using a Hersey bar, I used a Reese peanut butter cup. |
So yummy! While we're nibbling on sweet treats, tell me, how naughty do you get with your writing?
KT: I mainly write more
sweet, lighter romance with just a touch of suggestion. However, it’s mainly
very PG.
Where there scenes you found difficult to write?
KT: I have a really hard
time with the scenes right in the middle, surrounding the climax of the story.
That, I can relate to. The story in my head moves much faster than my fingers can type and then I'll sit back and think, "Is that what I want to tell? Is that how I want to tell it?" Tell me something trivial about you when you're writing.
KT: I once Googled about
eight different can designs for Folger’s coffee cans – it was a very miniscule
detail to the story I was working on but something I was determined to get
right. I always have to have noise around me – I know a lot of authors can’t
write with external distractions but I need them to be able to focus. It can be
anything from TV to the radio, as long as it makes noise.
I'm right there with ya, sista! I always have music on when I write. We'll our time is coming to an end. There are hot dogs to be roasted and mugs to be refilled with tea. What would you like to share with our readers?
KT: Don’t count yourself
down and out, no matter how hard things can seem sometimes. For me, the best
inspiration has always come from those moments where I felt that I was at my
lowest.
Fun stuff:
Favorite drink: Lime seltzer
Favorite candy: Reese’s cups
Favorite food: Tacos of all
kinds
Favorite article of clothing
or jewelry: I love jeans
Favorite place to read: The couch, with
a cup of tea and a cozy blanket.
Place you want to visit some
day: Barcelona,
Spain

#Thursday13 - Fun Stay In Ideas
Here are a few ideas.
1. Throwback Date. Pull out old photo albums from when you were first together. Enjoy pix from when you were dating or first married. (If you still have kids at home, they love looking at the old photos and laughing at your stylish hair and clothes.)
2. Make homemade ice-cream. We received an ice cream maker as a wedding gift and have replaced it a few times. Ice cream makers don't create much, but it's a perfect amount for two. Enjoy the sweet treat and maybe save some whipped topping for later.
3. Take a virtual tour. Many museums offer virtual tours. Travel & Leisure put together a list of 12 museums around the world offering amazing tours. CLICK HERE
4. Get a little silly and play a childhood favorite card game. How long has it been since you played Go Fish, Crazy Eights, or Uno? Reminisce and share stories from when you were kids.
5. Watch The Princess Bride. I heard your eyeroll. Trust me, it'll be fun.
6. Create a fantasy music festival. Imagine if you could pick and choose who would perform and what song they'd sing. Sit down and create a playlist together.
7. Pretend the electricity goes out. Turn everything off for the evening (except for heat if you're in the north) Build a fire in the fireplace, make smores. (FYI you can make smores on your gas stove). Build a fort with pillows and blankets. Savor the candlelight.
8. Continuing the them of "No electricity", shower or take a bath together with the lights out. Have plenty of candles handy. (Battery operated flicking candles are great too!)
9. Build a bonfire. This might be outside, but it's still in your yard. Even in snow covered north, we'll snuggle next to a fire - under blankets with coats, mittens and hat of course.
10. Have a spa night. Give each other massages. A simple massage can relieve headaches, minor pain as well as help you connect intimately with each other. Do facials. (My sons do them with their ladies.) Put on your robes and relax to soothing sounds with cucumber slices on your eyes.
11. Spend time together in the kitchen. Try something new or prepare your favorite comfort food. Try a home delivery meal kit.
12. Make a "To-Done" list. Think of all the things you have done together since you met.
13. Last but not least...have some "sexy time". Shop online together for something sexy. Play a sexy game. Do something different or have sex in an unusual spot in your house.

Meet Our New "Baby"
We adopted a rescue last week.
Her name is Reyka (yes, like the vodka).
She's a lab and pit bull mix.
A friend's mom witnessed a truck stop at the edge of their farm, dump the dog and drive off. Poor pup ran after the truck for a 1/4 mile. After 3 days, the mom managed to gain the pup's trust and take care of her for a while until we brought her home.
We will be working with a professional trainer to help her overcome whatever ghosts of her past that haunt her. She has a slight aggression problem from her fear. It appears she was kenneled most of her life. Everything is so new to her... she is fascinated with my kitchen cupboards, the TV, the shower, the fireplace, etc. The outdoors also seems new to her. She's curios yet fearful. I walk her (5-15 minutes at a time) several times a day for leash training and get her used to her new surroundings. We live on a dead-end road in the woods and take one property at time as we walk. She shakes with fear if we get too far from home into new area. I make her sit when she's afraid; to give her time to process sounds, sights and smells. She's great in the yard and plays fetch. Our first trip to the vet was a nightmare.
Vet guesses her age to be around 3 but wasn't able to do a thorough exam & gave me Trazadone for her visit in 3 weeks. She will be spayed and chipped Feb 1.
