My Great-grandfather came to this country from Germany so it became a tradition in my family when relatives visited from "the old country" we would take them to a special town where they would feel quite at home.


The tradtion still continues, not so much with relatives but now my own children love to vist the town.  From fantastic food, eclectic shopping and entertainment, to rich historical beauty and culture, it's the ideal departure from the ordinary every day.

Hubby and I found a treasure many of you would also enjoy.

Frankenmuth Brewery

The charming town of Frankenmuth, Michigan also known as "Michigan's Little Bavaria" was founded in the late 1840's by emigrants from Nuernberg Germany. The little farming community grew quickly, shops and government formed and in 1862 the first brewery was established. The Frankenmuth Brewing Company is now one of the oldest breweries still producing beer in the country.

Six Sentence Sunday - Love Knot

The breath from her words bounced off his lips back onto her. His lips were so close the heat radiated from them. Her arms locked around his neck as she stood on her tip toes. His mouth set fire to her body as he placed soft kisses along her jaw. Wonderful sensations swirled in her body as he enveloped her in his embrace. Soft lips brushed over hers then he gazed at her with a smirk on his face.

Author Goes to the Dogs

Want to volunteer and make a difference in your community?

Are you able to give a little love and care to local animals that have only known abuse and neglect?

Me with a puppy during a pet adoption event.

 One of the best places to volunteer is in your local animal shelter or animal rescue.

Collecting much needed items is an easy way to volunteer.

Rescues have limited funds and need to provide for numerous animals.

Romance authors have two charities that make them open the money bag or volunteer-

 1. Children  2. Animal Rescues. 

 During author coventions, auctions are held to raise money to be given to local children and animal rescue charities in the town hosting the convention. 

I had the opportunity to volunteer to help some animal rescues in my area

and look forward to doing it again!
